Nyima, our HALO rescue
Nyima, a mother of three children, has been suffering joint pain, stiffness and abdominal pain for the past four years. Sadly, despite her physical agony, she has never received any assistance from her family. Recently, she was being treated by our health post staff who confirmed that her condition was serious. Soon, she was transported to Kathmandu to be treated by a hospital in the capital city.
After running numerous tests, Nyima has been diagnosed with severe arthritis and gastritis. The doctors have confirmed that she will have to receive intense physical therapy to strengthen her muscles and joints as well as decrease the stiffness. In the meanwhile, she is staying in a patient facility at SDSS and also has been regularly receiving physical therapy as prescribed by her doctor.
