Little Nyima in Kathmandu

Previously we shared about little Nyima and how MountainChild assisted Nyima and her brother to travel to Kathmandu for her medical treatment. After several medical tests, Nyima was diagnosed with “Stunting” which is unfortunately largely an irreversible condition. Nyima and her brother have been staying at our Kathmandu RANCH. During their stay, Nyima also got treated for other minor health issues. Along with her treatment in Kathmandu, she and her brother had a wonderful time - visiting new places, learning to ride a bicycle, playing soccer and doing other fun activities. Our staff also invited them for an art class where they painted their own portraits.

It was a joy to host Nyima and her brother; and, in many ways hard to say goodbye. They recently returned back to their village. Our staff along with her parents are arranging for little Nyima to be enrolled in school for the first time very soon.

We will share more about Nyima and her schooling in the coming days.
