Art class with SLC
During the winter holiday, some of our SLC students were down from the mountains visiting Kathmandu with their parents. During this time our staff organized an art class for both the children and the parents. It was a meaningful class to be able to paint a big painting together, especially because we painted their home village of Samagaun. The children tried their best to paint it on the canvas. The class was filled with laughter and the joy of using their creative talents.
They all took great delight in how the painting came together. This was a special time outside of the classroom and village to continue to instill hope in the lives of those from the remote Nepal Himalayas.
