A 40-year-old man from Samagaun
Kunchhok, a 40-year-old man, was flown from the remote village of Samagaun to Kathmandu to receive medical attention. He was losing consciousness, was vomiting blood, and had blood in his stool. All of these symptoms indicated a serious medical issue that required an immediate medical evacuation.
He was flown directly to a hospital in Kathmandu where he underwent several tests. From the results of the tests, Kunchhok was diagnosed with a peptic ulcer, cirrhosis, and anemia. Remarkably after just a short period of receiving proper medications and the needed treatments, he regained his strength and was discharged from the hospital.
Kunchhok is still taking medication and is recovering very well while resting with his family in Kathmandu. He will need to have follow-up visits with the doctor before he is able to return to his village.
We will update you more about his journey to recovery so stay with us!
