Volunteer Locally

We understand not everyone is slated to make a trip to the Himalayas. But getting involved locally helps tremendously. Whether your group is a few or hundreds, let us show you how easy it is to get involved.

MountainChild friends meet one of our teen heros, Ui Jeong Lee....

MountainChild friends meet one of our teen heros, Ui Jeong Lee. She is President of International Students at King’s School in Seattle, Washington. It is Ui Jeong’s dream to work for human rights issues affecting children around the world.

Ui Jeong is not just a dreamer, she is puts action to her dreams. She recently formed a committee to raise awareness for MountainChild and children in the Himalayas and North Korea. She opened an exhibit on her campus highlighting issues facing these children. Soon this display will also open in her community. MountainChild thanks you, Ui Jeong Lee! You are making a difference and carrying hope!

70 Million Water Bottles a day!

Americans EVERY DAY use approximately 70,000,000 plastic water bottles! Yes, you are seeing that right, 70 MILLION. The average American family will save over $1200 a year using a water filter at home vs. buying bottled water. If even only 1/3 of us used filters vs. buying bottled water every day, we could donate MILLIONS to fund clean water projects! Clean water saves lives!www.mountainchild.org/donate
